Send us a text

Mindfully Moody has been on a summer break and we're back to recap our unforgettable summer memories. It feels SO good to take a break sometimes, be present and mindful, especially when we're experiencing milestones!

So grab a drink, get on your hot girl walk, and join us as we open up about the magical experiences of our summer break, Sara's wedding and honeymoon, Hannah's music festival fun and family time.

Being present and mindful holds such spiritual significance, including aspects of:

  • Connection to the divine: Being present allows us to connect deeply with our surroundings, ourselves, and whatever higher power holds significance in your life! In many spiritual practices, mindfulness is a way to experience the divine in everyday moments
  • Inner peace & clarity: Presence is so helpful in managing emotions, leading to inner peace and reduced stress, especially in our world full of social media and constant distractions, which can actually trigger us further. Presence also promotes much clear thinking!
  • Authenticity & genuine connection: Presence is such an important piece of fostering authentic, strong relationships with others. Think about when you're with someone and they're not present, they're distracted, caught up in something else...it never feels good! Being present allows relationships to blossom from a heart-centered space
  • Spiritual growth: Presence is essential for spiritual growth, as it allows for introspection and self-awareness.

We also get into the balance between living our personal lives and entrepreneurial hustle as we recount quality family time and simple pleasures that ground us amidst our busy lives. Traveling really shows you the massive importance of taking a break, which can actually propel our businesses forward, since we can approach with fresh and creative thinking!

We wrap up with a discussion on stepping away from social media, finding a healthy balance between productivity and rest, and our excitement for upcoming projects, including THE AWAKENED WOMAN RETREAT, the perfect retreat for fellow spiritual sisters, spiritual entrepreneurs, and women wanting a massive transformation!

xoxo, Sara & Hannah

Speaker 1:

All right, are we in. Oh, he's getting started. All right, we're in business. Hello Hi, hello everyone.

Speaker 2:

No time to waste. No time to waste.

Speaker 1:

Oh, when will we be without a tech issue fail? You're right, we absolutely do need a studio. That's the takeaway, take home message of these tech issues Literally never without an issue One day.

Speaker 2:

It's coming soon Now. Chimmy wants attention.

Speaker 1:

Hi, hi. Welcome everyone to Mindfully Moody. We have not recorded in a couple of weeks because we've been on a little bit of a summer break. We've had a lot of stuff going on, so we're going to talk to you about that stuff.

Speaker 2:

We deserve it. We deserve it. We haven't talked, I mean really talked, actually actually since your wedding. I know she's married.

Speaker 1:

She's married. I'm a wife. I can't believe it. I just said to my mom this morning can you believe that your daughter is a wife? And she's like no, it's literally crazy.

Speaker 2:

I feel like it's like the same, but it's like everything is the same. But I feel like you guys probably feel like a little different, Like now that you're husband and wife, like that's weird to think about him as husband too.

Speaker 1:

I know, I mean, in some ways it feels different, but in other ways it's like it feels the same. You know, because, like we have been living together for many years, living together for many years, and you know, it just feels like our relationship doesn't feel drastically different. You know, because why would it? But also it feels really good, of course, like we made this massive commitment to each other, which feels incredible, you know. So we're loving it.

Speaker 2:

Love. Also, your nails are nailing. Of course we have the same color. I took my gels off for a moment. Yours are looking so good. Of course we have the same red.

Speaker 1:

But banging my nails were so long Like literally claw level nails that I just took off like more than half of their length. I just went to the salon yesterday. I'm like I cannot have these super long nails anymore, Like I think I'm going to be a back to short nail girl.

Speaker 2:

Short nail girly.

Speaker 1:

Although this is still long.

Speaker 2:

They look long. For most people. They look so long. Check it out on the YouTube. If you're listening to this and you want to see what they look like, you can go to the YouTube. Okay, um, okay, just for the listeners. Okay. So sarah and I really we haven't chatted in a while and we just wanted to make this episode like a catch-up and like for us to just like get back on board with each other and like what's been going on in our life. Sarah, you literally just traveled, had the best european summer moment, obsessed. Yes, give me the tea. Give me the tea, give me the tea, like what.

Speaker 1:

It was so freaking good. It was amazing Like we were on the move so much. We went to six different cities in two weeks. So we were like constantly going somewhere doing something. So it was definitely tiring but it was yeah, it was like a dream.

Speaker 1:

We started in Rome and we were just so excited to be there Like there was so much like you know, just anticipation. We had just come off like we went on the honeymoon five days after the wedding, so we had just come off of the wedding and like this massive high from that and we just had so much fun Like we were just touring around all the different cities and we just had so much fun Like we were just touring around all the different cities. We went to Rome. Then we went to Tuscany. We stayed on this gorgeous like olive farm. It was a very like casual, like humble, like stay, like it wasn't fancy at all but it was like so cute on this like olive farm and it was like just the romantic and we we like totally envisioned ourselves living this kind of life. You know, like being in Tuscany, the people that um owned the farm were like had met um in a meditation group and are like super, super spiritual.

Speaker 1:

They're like they're probably like in their early 70s, like so cute they're artists and like they run this farm together, like they have the most beautiful garden. They made us breakfast in the morning like it was just so.

Speaker 2:

Oh, my god sweet, you know.

Speaker 1:

So that was really fun. Um, we were like sick on and off a little bit so that was, you know, not great part of it. But we like rested up after Tuscany and then we were like totally good to go, and then we went to Florence, we went to Lake Como, the Dolomites and then Venice, so we were all over the place. You know, we had so much good food. The food was like just incredible, although I will say the tourist traps are so real in Italy, like you can get like really bad food as well, and we did run into that a few times. So do your research.

Speaker 2:

Your food, like the food that you were posting, like I was like it doesn't stop. Like you guys, I'm like the fanciest food I've ever seen. It's just like day.

Speaker 1:

My mom like damn my mom was messaging me she's like they are.

Speaker 2:

I've never seen food like it was like the top notch. Yeah, we like I don't even.

Speaker 1:

We went to some really nice places. We went to some really good restaurants. We went to one Michelin star restaurant in Lake Como. That was like really fancy, and then we also did this crazy tasting menu in the Dolomites. That was amazing. So the food was just really good, although now I'm like I need to not eat a fucking carb for like the rest of my life, because I ate I don't know how much I've talked about this in the podcast, but I have been on like a gut healing journey, like taking a ton of supplements, like doing all of these various things, and I've been not eating gluten, not eating dairy. I ate gluten every single day, I ate dairy every single day, like I threw my through my protocol out the window. But I'm trying not to feel like any sort of way about that because like it was my honeymoon, like I'm not trying to restrict myself, you know 100% and it's like you enjoyed it.

Speaker 2:

You lived that for two weeks, two and a half weeks, I don't know how long three weeks, maybe, no and now it's like you you ate, you ate enough we ate so much the dolomites looked like stunning, incredible, like I've never actually even heard about that place, and it like looked like an art piece, like from your stories like it looks so beautiful.

Speaker 1:

So the dolomites is the alps. It's just the eastern part of the Alps in Italy and it's like called that because a certain type of the mountains, like the material that it's made out of, is called Dolomite, so they like call that specific part of the Alps that. Yeah, so it was just. It reminded me of Yosemite, like in terms of like the different, like textures and stuff like that. But it is so much more beautiful, honestly, because it's just so different. Like just this whole trip. It was epic, fantastic, like so romantic. Everything was just incredible about the trip, but it was so in our face about how freaking crazy america is, like just the differences of being in europe and america. And, like reza, my husband is um from austria and like he grew up he didn't grow up in america, so like he he's like I've been totally brainwashed by america.

Speaker 1:

Now I forgot how like amazing europe is and how different it is and just how much more healthy it is. You know, like that was just something that in every single city we were like wow, it is so different than the US. You know, like the food is so different. Like literally on one of the tasting menu meals we had, it was a green. This green bean dish was like the first course. I have never tasted a green bean that tastes like this in my life. And like I've been to a lot of fancy places with green beans in my life, like I always order the green beans.

Speaker 1:

Asian restaurant, like we're getting the green beans we are always getting the green beans, but like this, just like. It literally tastes like the earth, like. Why does food in America not taste like where it comes from, you know, and everything is so farm to table, in the sense of like not that it's fancy, like even when we were having meals that weren't super fancy, it's like it is food from the area, like it feels like it's natural, it's homegrown, there's not a bunch of pesticides, it's like everything's organic. Yeah, you know, I think that's like such a beautiful thing about traveling too.

Speaker 2:

It's like we so like live in our bubble, especially like in the U? S, but like maybe even in our own cities, and so like being able to like go out and like leave your place, that you live, and like explore something new. It's like oh yeah, I forget that like people do things differently here and like I'm sure you're going to take some things that like whatever, maybe recipes or like ways of living, and that you like saw there and like kind of try to integrate that back into your life, the things that you liked, because, yeah, it's like America we be we be doing things different.

Speaker 1:

I know it's, it's crazy, it's just so many things are so different.

Speaker 1:

You know, and I was talking to Danielle about this yesterday and I was just telling her like, when the times that I saw American obviously I saw American people all the time on the trip but there were a few moments where, like, I just was in proximity, really close proximity, of Americans and we are so miserable, y'all, we are so miserable like, literally, we are in the Dolomites at a five star hotel, in the most beautiful pool you've ever seen, overlooking the most beautiful mountains. Like looks like a freaking postcard. And here are these three Americans, our age in depth, bitching about how much they hate their jobs, like literally, like going in, like just this energy coming off of them and like I want to like slap them in the face and be like are you okay? Look like you can't even get out of your own way. For, like, look up, like have some gratitude, like get present, like what are you doing? You know, like so many, I had so many experiences like that. That was just like like.

Speaker 2:

It's interesting too, because people probably save up months and maybe even years to take a vacation like that and then just to go there and then take the shit from your life with you there without, like, being able to fully be present. New episode coming soon on presence.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I mean or or not, because they looked like rich corporate people. So, like you know, american rich corporate people, like we have to complain about how much we hate our jobs, like that's just. That's just what it is like, that's just par for the course. Like you know, you could be making two, three, four hundred thousand dollars and you all you want to do all day is bitch about your job you know, like that's just that's what it is.

Speaker 1:

But then you're in Italy and here's someone that's like just you know, working a humble job and paying the bills, basically, and like they just have such a different way of life, like the culture is so drastically different.

Speaker 1:

So that was so apparent to us and we did have a lot of like situations where we were with locals, like we did a lot of experiences that like, even when we were in the dolomites, like we they had these amazing like tours that we were going on every day. That was like biking or hiking, and like it was local people that were, you know, taking you around and stuff, and it's just like they just love their life. Yeah, they love their life, they love where they from, they love what they're doing, like they're, they're just in such a different frequency of like joy and peace and happiness. You know, that was such an amazing experience for us to get to have on the honeymoon because I feel like it just uplifted us more and it raised our frequency too of being around that type of community. You know what I mean. Totally, totally wow.

Speaker 2:

Once in a lifetime, but multiple in this coming in the future, you're going to experience that more like I sure hope so no, absolutely.

Speaker 1:

I mean we now. You know I've been on this like five year, six, seven year vision of like I'm in Colorado and like living on a farm and retreat center. And now I'm like I'm Colorado, who I'm on to the Alps and living in Europe. Now because I can, because my man is a European citizen, so she's getting dual citizenship.

Speaker 2:

That's a perk Also. Just like what a freaking month. Like we didn't even touch on the wedding at all, but like the wedding was so freaking, incredible, like everyone keeps asking me how it was and it's just like you literally can't top it. Like from the welcome party to like the incredibly beautiful wedding that went off just with a bang and then like the brunch like it was so fun, there was so much love. Like you were so lit up like the whole time. Like you were literally just like glowing in love the entire time and it was just so beautiful to experience so good it was like the best.

Speaker 1:

I felt so amazing at the wedding, like it just felt so captivating to me, you know, like it was for me to have all of the people that I love the most in the same place and interacting with each other. Like it was so freaking cool to have, like my family and my friends and Reza's friends, and like all of these worlds colliding, you know, and everyone was just so loving and it was, it was so special to me. Like I'm so, so grateful for the experience and I keep thinking back to like us, just the girls, like before the ceremony.

Speaker 2:

I'm literally crying. I'm like crying, so sweet.

Speaker 1:

It was so beautiful. We did this like little meditation, breath moment and just everyone went around and like showered me with love and it was like literally like to have that before the ceremony, like it just felt so loving and kind and compassionate and there was just so much energy, like uplifting energy, in the room and it just goes to show it's like things I don't know. There's so many lessons in it. You know like things go as they are meant to go and I knew it's funny because it was. There was so much challenging weather prior to we didn't even go into that. All the lessons on that.

Speaker 1:

Hannah had trouble getting to florida, other people did too. My brother's flight was canceled. Like multiple people had issues getting to flor, florida. It was like literally a hurricane for like three days prior. There was so much flooding and there were so many lessons in that for me because it was like okay, I could freak out right now. You did so good, and people were also kind of like tempting me to freak out, like even my mom like was like okay, like aren't you like getting worried? And the whole time I was like no, I'm not getting worried. I know that everyone's going to get here safe and I know that, like my mom had all these backup plans for, like the wedding and because our ceremony was outside and I just kept telling her it's not going to rain, it's not going to rain, I know it's not going to rain, I know it's going to be fine. And literally, as I was like walking down the aisle and going towards the ceremony, like the sun started to come out, there was dolphins in the background.

Speaker 2:

Like it was just like insane. Perfect. You were so calm within that with everything. I'm like I literally, with my flight getting canceled and like me having to book the $500 new flight, like I'm like just don't even worry about it. I'm like I don't even. You're like calling me. I'm like just don't call me. Like it's fine, like we're going to get there. They're like there's no plan out until Saturday at three. I'm like no, it's not going to happen. I'll drive a car if I need to. Oh my God.

Speaker 1:

Like high vibe, it's gonna work out, and literally like the sun coming out during the ceremony was just like god being like I got you, girl, I always got you. Like oh yes, it was stunning, the ceremony was perfect. Hannah read a poem for me. I'm so grateful that you did that. It was so beautiful and special and like we will remember that for the rest of our lives. Like that was so. No, I'm literally crying. I'm like I'm so grateful, so much. I love you.

Speaker 2:

I'm so grateful that I got to be just like a part of it, like that, like my heart. I just like that means so much to like bless your marriage in that way. And like the poem was so beautiful, like calling in the elements and like just watching, like being able to be there in front of you guys and like witness that love. Like, as I read it, like it was just so amazing, like it's gonna be so hard to top this wedding. I'm like how can I top this wedding?

Speaker 1:

I don't know if I can I know best wedding I've ever been to my own. So good, so good, so good, oh my gosh. And it also got a little bit like wild, like people. Definitely people were having some drinks, for sure. I was like literally so drunk by the end of the night.

Speaker 2:

I was too. We were dancing on tabletops. Whoops, whoopsie, sorry, uncle Steve, steve, yeah, that's right. Oh my gosh, yeah, and it's just, it was fun. Like, okay, sarah's family is cool as fuck. You guys, like everyone is so cool and young.

Speaker 2:

It's like you want to hang out and like chill with like the old people you know when you go to a wedding sometimes you're like, oh, these like old people are like can't connect to them it's like, no like they're the shit and I want to hang out with them and I want to like your parents like they're all so fun and so cool and like make sense, they built you, I know everyone, everyone was on like a hundred.

Speaker 1:

Like everyone was just so excited to be there. It was amazing. It was so amazing best day of my life. Like I, can't even imagine it going better. I want to relive it. I'm like, can we round two?

Speaker 2:

anniversary of our vows at year one.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yes, literally oh, okay, enough about me. What's what's going on? How you feeling? What's the updates this?

Speaker 2:

is like squad cast. I mean, this is a polo live. This is what. This is what we do on polo, you guys, we just literally talk back and forth giving updates. Um, june has been crazy, crazier than I expected, obviously. I started off traveling, going to your wedding and then which was an incredible trip I was a little hungover on mond when I was coming Sunday, when I was coming back, and then I was turning around. I got back on Sunday night at like midnight and then I was literally turning around Wednesday 6 am to go to a five-day music festival Electric Forest, dude. Electric Forest was so freaking fun like I.

Speaker 1:

It looked amazing. It's just like it's just different.

Speaker 2:

Like you know, we've been. We've been to music festivals. We didn't experience it, but like it's like, truly like, um, like just like a different world that you enter into, like because there's such a variety of things to do, to go explore, groups of people to hang out with and like just being with my crew. I was with my sister, my best friend from college and my stepsister friend I never know how to explain her, um, but we had an rv and, yeah, we went, saw five days of music. We were like on the way over, like it really makes or breaks the festival with your neighbors, right, because you're literally right next to people and we're like me and brie are like manifesting, like good neighbors neighbor, I got her manifesting on the manifesting train.

Speaker 2:

We're like please let us have good neighbors and I'm like let me get real on the podcast. So the neighbors are coming through and I see this like arm, like this like black muscle arm out the window. I'm'm like look at the neighbors coming up like oh, we got some hotties coming through and, um yeah, our neighbors ended up being so dope and we like hung out with them the whole festival, like literally all morning, all night, like we're like just like partying okay, so were these the guys that you were with that, like brie was posting yeah, I have to like literally see all the updates through Bree's uh profile because you don't post.

Speaker 1:

I'm like girl, why are you posting? She posts everything, so I'm like I saw everything.

Speaker 2:

I'm like, why are you posting that? Stop posting that because, like, I don't want to show myself like in that state, like you know, whatever, just like, yes, but I know that's what my friend Rachel said. She's like I saw all the updates from your sister's Instagram. I'm like, oh God, but yeah, those were our neighbors. And then, like you know, like Forest is just like an adult summer camp, so like you meet people every year and then, like everyone comes back, so it's like yo, I haven't seen you since last year and like you see people throughout the Forest, even though there's 40,000 people there like you run into people that you've met, like it's huge.

Speaker 2:

There's that many, I mean that's crazy, it's massive. Um, so it was just so fun. And then we have like old friends that like come to the site and then we like all meet up. Like you know, sadie and like their group was there and we would like all meet up for sets. We, sadie, and like their group, we like all did themes together. So like one was like a theme was like Dune, one was Yacht Daddy, which is like Sadie's you know Sadie's boyfriend. He does like DJing and that's his DJ name. So we like dressed up for that. And then we did like a BDSM day.

Speaker 2:

And it's just like the themes, the dressing up, the getting ready, like, and then the music of course like the music is just, oh, it's just incredible, like dancing, the feeling, just like being in a festival with, like, all of your friends and there was like a downfall dude, the rain be getting to me one day. It was the festival was literally closed all day. So the festival was closed, like on saturday, and like we're like all right, well, let's just make the best of this. Like it's literally down. It was downpouring at all day, like the entire day, and we're with our neighbors. We're like in the camper, like they're in their camper. We're like just like partying, like you know, listening to music. We're like let's just make the best of this. Like then we're like let's just go like brave the rain, like we all like get bundled up and we're like going to find because there's like sets within like the campground. We're like let's just go like find a set and like deal with the rain, like we have to like live out this night. So we like all get ready and we like start to go and like get all excited. And then we're like let's just go like walk to the entrance and see we're literally like open up, because they never said they were going to reopen. We're like open up, open up and then literally we like get to the gate and we get a text like force is opening up tonight and like that's when Subtronic started. And then John Summit was next. So it was like so crazy, everyone's rushing in the forest, um.

Speaker 2:

And then Sunday night, like we had Sunday we had an amazing day. I actually wasn't gonna stay for Sunday. I was supposed to leave. I had a flight at like noon on Sunday because I was like five days in the forest, that's too much like. And then everyone like you know we're, we're going at it. They're like change your flight. Like everyone's like chanting, change your flight. And so, like I ended up changing my flight and stayed like 24 hours more. And yeah, we had an amazing day. They ended up canceling the festival at 1130 at night on Sunday, so like didn't even get to see like some of the people, which sucked, but like, even with the rain and even with the cancellations, it was just such a fun, freaking time like I want. I said it was my last year, but it's like I want to go back again next year because it's just like I love it. I just dancing and music and like just hanging out with people and the adventures and like meeting new people, like so freaking fun.

Speaker 1:

What was the best set that you saw?

Speaker 2:

I think maybe my favorite was Gigantic Nightmare, so it's Nightmare and Big G they played together. So we have that like flowy, like inspirational, like Big G music and then we have like the Dirty, so like they do a set together. That was pretty sick. John Summit was so sick to see. Like you know, you hear his music and it's kind of more like housey, like on Spotify, but he like did some like dirty, like bass house, and it was just so cool to see him because I've been watching him for online, you know, and to see him in life, in the flesh. It was sick. But yeah, it was just such a beautiful time. I like want to go back and oh, I love that.

Speaker 1:

It looks so fun. Every time that you're there I'm like gotta get. I wish I was there, I wish I was there. But the rain is like, oh my god. I dealt with the rain in Italy too. I just feel like this has been such a crazy like year of rain in so many different places. I mean, it rained my entire bachelorette party. I don't even know if we did we ever even talk about that? I don't know.

Speaker 2:

I think maybe we give on the podcast A little recap. I know Rain be ruining everything, literally. I was at a birthday party, a pool party, yesterday. It never rains in Austin. The a pool party yesterday. It never rains in austin. The hurricane's hitting us and like I get there and it's downpouring. All these spiritual people are like, oh, you know, just like, go in the rain, do a rain dance. Um, and then what else was canceled? Oh, fourth of july, when I went to wisconsin, literally we were going to the fireworks and they got canceled because of a thunderstorm like everything wow, okay, yeah, how was wisconsin it?

Speaker 1:

oh my gosh. I just love seeing the pictures of you with your family and the babies, and they are so cute.

Speaker 2:

Oh my God. Well. So then I got back from forest on Monday and, like I wasn't even planning on going to Wisconsin, my mom like was driving there from Idaho. So on Friday she texted me like can you please come? And like they were kind of like please, like it's going to be worth it. We haven't. I haven't seen my mom since Christmas and I haven't I haven't seen my the babies like in a long time. So I'm like fuck it, like full send, let's just go.

Speaker 2:

So I booked my flight on Friday and left on Sunday and I went there for six days and it was like it was beautiful, like just like.

Speaker 2:

Like I mean I was working a little bit but then like, just like, taking the dogs for a walk in the morning, going to get coffee, hanging out with the babies, like it's just like a really important time right now. I think, especially like you know, I'm never gonna see Louie's two and a half and Wilhelmina is seven months. So like, just like seeing them at this like age, like Wilhelmina is literally like the cutest, sweetest baby, like she's so cute, she's so happy, like every time you walk into a room she's like like smiling, and like louie is like starting to come into himself and like talking a little bit more and like being like a little bit more lovey and like warming up to me and stuff so like, and like hanging out with my mom and my sister and randy and dave, like it was just like really filled my cup up just to be home, and like see some old hometown friends too. And you know, going back to Opaque I always got to make my pit stop and say it was good Seeing old people.

Speaker 2:

We went out on the 4th of July. You know you got to see people and say what's good.

Speaker 1:

Were people wild, I'm sure.

Speaker 2:

A little. It didn't get too crazy. I didn't get too, chris, I didn't get great too crazy. I had to leave at 8 30 in the morning on Friday, the day after 4th of July, so it didn't get too crazy, but it was good. It was just like I feel like I just ticked so many boxes and like, yeah, I wanted to talk to you about this because this has been on my mind like I really needed that, like I feel like I've been in such I was texting you, like I was kind of feeling a little bit weird, like I don needed that, like I feel like I've been in such I was texting you, like I was kind of feeling a little bit weird, like I don't know.

Speaker 2:

Just like living in Austin, like I feel like I get in like such this like Austin bubble and like have this like Austin mindset and so like just getting out and like even going to your wedding, going to the forest, like going to Wisconsin, it just like I want to say open my perspective to the world, like not like you saw in Italy, but just in a different way of like I'm very like tunnel vision, of like this Austin life, you know, like the self-help, the spirituality of the like business side and like just like getting like pulled back and being like, okay, people live different lives than like we do in Austin, like it's not all about like building the business and like being the best version of yourself, even though we preach that on the podcast, like it's also really about balance too, like, and I just feel like sometimes I go too hard and like pressure myself and like I don't know, I just I'm taking maybe similar to what you took of just like slowing down or like not putting so much pressure on shit and like you know it doesn't I don't have to be like, ah, this, like number one business person that's like following every single thing that I should do, think I should do.

Speaker 2:

You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1:

Like of course. Yeah, I totally agree. I think that there's just this culture within the world that we're in. You know, I don't live in Austin, obviously, but like I'm, I have this same. Yeah, you're, you're. You know, like I'm still in this like sphere of the world of entrepreneurship and yeah, you know, like constantly improving and reaching goals and changing your mindset and doing better and and I think that there's we could record a whole episode about this Like there is like maybe that is what we should talk about in our next episode, because there is just a balance that has to be had.

Speaker 1:

You know, like these people that live, you know, in Italy, like getting up every day and going to this you know hospitality job, where they're like meeting different people, and you know making food and being a part of their family and like how much they value like family and relationships and community and all of these things that like, even though it seems like our world, that we exist in values, that, too, like in other ways it doesn't. Yeah, you know, it is kind of like a very like individual thing and like climbing a ladder and it's like we all got out of corporate. We're still trying to climb this freaking ladder.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

We're still trying to do the same type of shit. Yes, yes. So it's yeah. I think that it can be kind of jarring sometimes to get out of your environment and be like wow, I don't have to be on the grind.

Speaker 2:

I mean myself.

Speaker 1:

Certainly, like over the last month and a half I've been so like in this, like energy, intense presence of what's going on, you know, for the wedding, for the honeymoon, and like I haven't had, I haven't been trying to reach any goal.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

You know, I've just been doing what I am doing every day and like enjoying time and eating good food and being with the people I love, and like I haven't been thinking about planning out my life and all these things. But now I get back and I'm like, whew, shit, got to get back into it, get back on the routine, literally literally exact same.

Speaker 2:

Like I don't, like I don't know where the balance is, like how to find the balance, because, like I really needed that. After like the content party and all of that, I think I was telling like damn, I really push it and like I was intentionally like ready to take this break and even like just being off social media and coming back, I'm like I don't even know we could talk about that like relationship with social media, like just being off my phone majority of like my trips and like not promoting things and not like trying to like push a message to people and like all of this stuff like and then coming back and seeing how much people do that. Like I just I am like reevaluating like how I want to even show up online and like things I want to talk about. Like do I even resonate? Like I was looking at my TikTok and I'm like I don't even feel like that person right now. Like it's just I'm having weird, very weird things come up.

Speaker 2:

But I also feel you, I'm like also ready to get back in hustle mode of like all right, I'm ready to get mindfully moody, going Like let's make some money, baby. It's just like. Yeah, it's a balance and we talk about that all the time. I mean, I think it's just like the flow right, the up and down it is the moods of life Like.

Speaker 1:

Of course, and I think that it it should be this way, you know, because if you don't stop and get off social media all the time and stop trying to be like this super, super, ultra hustler and business, and you're going to get burnt out.

Speaker 1:

Yeah like that. It's not sustainable to go at that all the time, even though a lot of people make it seem like it is sustainable. I actually saw this is coming up for me right now and I think the same about like coaches and spiritual entrepreneurs, and sometimes people forget this, including myself. There's this guy on on TikTok who I really like, that I feel like we have totally different algorithms, but so maybe you've never seen him, but he's like this marketing guy who does like deep dives on people, like on TikTok and like in different brands and stuff like that, and I think he has a very interesting perspective and he did this deep dive on Nara Smith and about like her type of content and how it's like this fantasy content and you know it makes it seem like, oh, she's just this like woman who's a wife and a mom and a homemaker and like you know, like she just has this super slow, like easy life and like everything's so perfect and and he's like it's all like a lie, basically Right, like she has a team of people some, like you know all of these things like nannies that are watching her kids, while she does this like an agent, like a publicist, like brands that she's working with, like all of these different people that are making her content appear like this. Yeah, yeah, you know, and it makes me think about like coaches and entrepreneurs, where, like I feel like shit.

Speaker 1:

I look at social media. Like this is where my mind is on social media and entrepreneurship right now and like I'm like to make it on social media as like a you know a coach. Like I need to be posting a hundred times a day. Right, that's what these people are doing. Like they have like these professional built assets that look crazy good and like all these things. Like they're constantly talking on social media, they're constantly engaging, they're posting all these things. Like these people have a team, yeah, and we forget that. Like we become like these individuals, like we need to like compete with these other people that we see and that's the only way to make it, and like all of them were failing because we're not posting enough and doing enough, and all of these things like, yeah, if I had four people that were working for me, yeah, maybe my social media would look like that too. Right, you know what I mean, or that's like so on my mind lately, or I would get that level of attraction.

Speaker 2:

I feel like a lot of people and I've even fallen victim to this too of like are selling a dream, like oh, if you do this, like you're going to get this and we don't know what's going on behind the scenes. Right, it can be so fake too. Of like you know this person showing this like amazing life, but like actually what's going on behind the scenes? It's like you know you're seeing them like journal out, something like on a beautiful morning, but really like you don't see them like setting up the camera, positioning it, like putting the timer on. Like okay, now let me fake write in my journal and I've done this too. Like I mean, it's just like we're all trying to play the game of like it's such a mind bug.

Speaker 1:

I know there was the like a few months ago. I feel like there was like all this like awareness about that of like you know, like, oh my, like five to nine before, my nine to five, like all those kind of videos where it was like they're like opening up the like super aesthetic, and people would be like, okay, but you sat off that tripod and, like you know, it's like it actually just gets like super freaking cringe when you like break down like that whole, like Literally. You know, the whole setup of it.

Speaker 2:

you know it's a full on production. It's like what we're trying to show Instagram versus reality literally like so different. I know Like, yeah, just even. I think that's why like transparency, like of even about this, of what we're talking about, I think is important. Like what people see online is not the reality of what is actually going on, and yeah, it's so hard. It's just to yeah figure out. Like I know you've always said that like about social media, like you don't really want to be, like fully be on it, like that, like I mean you go in waves, but like I'm now in that thing where it's like I don't want to, I don't feel like really posting, like as we literally have a podcast here it's hard it's hard because it's such I don't know, it's such a complicated thing.

Speaker 1:

It's such a complicated thing. It's such a complicated thing. And, furthermore, what this guy was saying in the video about Nara Smith, which I think is so important, is that this, all of this shit, is getting in our subconscious minds. Yeah, as we consume all of this content and us as also creators of this kind of content at times as well. Right, I mean not like Nara Smith, but you know, we capitalize on this idea so often in manifestation and trying to better yourself of, your subconscious mind doesn't know the difference between what's real and fake, right? Like? That's part of why manifestation works. Like your subconscious mind can't tell the difference of like.

Speaker 1:

If I'm saying I'm a millionaire, every single day when I wake up, I can actually get myself into that frequency because my subconscious isn't looking in my bank account to check on if there's a million dollars or not, right. But at the same time, it's like when you're consuming all this content, when you're going out in the world, it's like it's the same idea. Like you start, we start to get all these things in our subconscious minds of like, ok, well, I'm not good, I'm not a good enough coach, or I'm not a good enough entrepreneur, I'm not a good enough wife, I'm not a good enough mom, like whatever it is you know because like like well, I don't make my kids like homemade corn flakes every day with like milk from the my cow so now I'm a bad mom.

Speaker 1:

You know, I'm a bad mom now, yeah, right, like this literally gets downloaded, yeah, in our subconscious minds and like this is going to have long-term effects. Like it it already is showing effects. Like it is already setting people up for failure.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I mean, I think that's also why, like, I want to do this more frequently. But, like, taking a social media break, I think is so important, it's so hard to do, like it's easy when you're whatever on a trip to Italy or you know you're distracted on some sort of trip with your friends, but, like, I really feel like I need to incorporate that more of like, even just like a week or even 24 hour reset, like just like getting off, because, like so often, we live in this like fake world, like we're on our phones, so much on social media, and so, like we start like that's the world we live in. Oh, how can I we're going on a walk, how can I show this on my social media, like planning things out of, like how we can bring it into the virtual world that's not even real. And yeah, I want to incorporate this somehow, like, maybe here we go, me getting into the structure at least once a month, like a 24 hour reset or something, because it's like let's get back into the real world here Again.

Speaker 1:

Balance again balance, balance, baby, everything is balanced yeah everything is balanced.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and you know, when you go, the pendulum swings, one way of being out of routines. And you know, I mean I haven't worked out in like three weeks like I'm. You know, that's not my normal life. Obviously, I've walked a million steps but you know, I haven't been working out, I haven't been doing spiritual practices, I haven't been, you know, like rigid with things in my business or things that I want to do, you know. So it's like the pendulum swung in one way of like being present, flowing with everything that was coming up and being with my family and my husband and doing all of that stuff. But now it's like, okay, inevitably it can't stay that way, because I want to make money, I want to be successful, I want to live in my purpose, you know, and in order to do those things I have to swing back.

Speaker 1:

So, it's like it's just all about that equilibrium you know Totally, it's literally all about the journey.

Speaker 2:

Not to be cliche, but like we wanted this, both of us, we're always on the same journey, like, in some way or some form. Like you needed a practice presence and like you, you were okay with like letting go of the same journey. Like, in some way or some form, like you needed to practice presence and like you, you were okay with like letting go of the business stuff, like because you were prioritizing that other stuff. Right, like your honeymoon, your wedding, and literally I made it like my intention of like I want to get off social media. I want to take a break.

Speaker 2:

Like before I went on these trips, I'm like I'm ready for a break. So it's like that's like it's like, of course, I'm feeling like this, like let me enjoy the break that I took, like there's nothing wrong with that space that I created. But like now, like you said, like the pendulum is swinging this way. Now I'm ready to like kind of get back into go mode and I think it's just like being able to have that like consistent balance of flowing back and forth and like being okay when it is one way, like for a moment in time, and not feeling guilty or shame or sad or whatever, that you're not like making huge progress, like and knowing that that that's coming back and like you will feel that momentum again. So I'm ready, I'm ready, I'm excited for Mindfully Moody, we're going to be doing a strategy session. I'm excited.

Speaker 1:

I'm actually really excited. I'm actually like next episode we record, it's like planning routines back into your life. That's like literally what I need.

Speaker 2:

So being how to be productive why are we like? This just can't stop. We just have the potential that we want to reach and we're gonna get there.

Speaker 1:

But you know what it's also like the, the stuff about. Like you know, okay, throw the routine out the window and like flow and it's like who's saying that? You know who's saying that? People that I watch on social, like krista williams, is saying that, okay, well yeah, you can throw the routine out the window because people are still going to.

Speaker 1:

You can get off social media because your team's going to post for you. Literally, you can not, you know, record a podcast for a month because you have a top podcast, like you can check out of whatever you need to check out of because you're a millionaire. Yeah, you know, it's like you've already made it.

Speaker 2:

Now we're just literally gaslighting ourselves into like getting back to the grind that's the thing we just want to make mad money and then, once we get there, then we can focus on the balance.

Speaker 1:

No, no, I mean it's like who do you really see saying that, though, other than, like you know, I mean, I guess, like everyone outside of america? But our culture and I don't think it's you know, I think it has good things and bad things like that just is what it is. Like we want to, it is what it is. Do more. You know, we want to like your purpose. When you find what you want to do, like whether it be a specific thing or just like a way of life of, like you know, I want to give back to people. I want to help people create freedom in their lives, create happiness in their lives. Like it is, you're in constant pursuit of that, and when you're not doing that, it feels like something is missing. It feels like a piece of you. This is how I feel in my life.

Speaker 1:

It feels like a piece of me is that desires to be exercised is not being exercised yeah, you know so then I start to get like, okay, I need to, I need to get with it, I need to do it because I want this, this is my life, but end of the day like we are literally doing what we want.

Speaker 2:

Like like we did just take a break and now we're getting like we, that is flow, that is a healthy like balance of masculine and feminine in business, in life, in whatever. Like. We are honoring that like and that's and we're fucking cool for that like literally, we needed a break, we needed a break and now we're going back into an era of like a little bit more movement until it feels a little uncomfy.

Speaker 2:

And if it starts to feel uncomfy, we're gonna swing back and we're gonna like work, because we're aware of that, like, oh, I'm feeling a little stressed, I'm feeling burnt out. Okay, what can I do? But we're also gonna go after the things that we want. I'm freaking proud of us and that's just that's just how it is y'all, that's just on me and Mindfully Moody.

Speaker 1:

Okay, also, I want to make an announcement, because I haven't officially said this on the podcast yet, I don't think, but I have talked about the retreat that I'm hosting this year. Yes, it is now completely confirmed location, dates, everything. It is December 11th through the 17th of this year, 2024, in Mexico in the jungle outside of Cancun, at the most beautiful, amazing location.

Speaker 2:

It is stunning.

Speaker 1:

The location is amazing. It's going to be a max of 16 women who are we're getting a lot of like spiritual entrepreneur type vibes and women that are really ready to step into their power, have already stepped into their power and are just getting to that next level. So we're so excited. I'm so excited to host this, to just contribute this to the world, to participate in like just even getting to give this to people, to be able to exercise my purpose in this way, is just my dream. So I'm gonna drop a link in the show notes with more information where you can apply. We are creating a group of people, we're screening everyone. We are bringing a group of people together that are just gonna transform in unbelievable ways. So we already have women signing up. So I'm so excited it's gonna be fun to drop that in.

Speaker 2:

It's gonna be so beautiful and I saw someone say this on social media the other day like I stopped taking vacations and started going to retreats because I don't need a vacation from a retreat. Like it's gonna be so healing, so beautiful in Mexico. The location is gonna be stunning and like you're gonna be with so many amazing, incredible women and like I can't wait to see what you create with this. It's gonna be so cool thank you, yay, yay okay, you guys.
